Remember when part of the answer by rote was that fitbits were compatible with over 200 devices?
I just look at the current lists and it looks like that is now down to 101 devices. So it doesn't look like they are making much headway in adding devices to the list.
This then leads to fewer and fewer people getting support with problems as they will not be using a recognised compatible device.
Remember when they used to say that they didn't remove devices from the list.
So we have killer firmware updates, effective withdrawal of service from older devices and reduced range of compatible devices. Can anyone explain how this benefits fitbit because it doesn't seem to be for our benefit?

Some of the features require later Android versions. If there were some phones removed from the list, it might be that they still support the same functions they always did but cannot make the list unless every function (i.e. quick reply) is supported.

I'm sure there are people out there who purchased phones because they were on the list who have now had the rug pulled from under them and don't even know it yet.
Plus there are a lot of people using/trying to use older fitbits that cannot make use of the things being added in.
Is it time for fitbit to enable customers to officially have access to older versions of the app that actually work for them?
