I'm having a few problems right now.
One is that my text messages are no longer showing up on my Charge 2. The feature hasn't worked for several weeks now.
Another issue is that it's not syncing regularly like it should.
Finally, when I use the exercise tracking feature, GPS isn't tracking my walking route. A map of my route is no longer showing up when I check the stats of the walk.
Are all of these issues with the app itself or is my device nearing the end of its life?

Hi @SRL1967, welcome to the Community Forums!
Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the details that were shared in your post. To better assist you with the notifications concern, can you please let me know if you're not receiving notifications at all or just text messages? Which Android mobile device are you using?
If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Charge 2 are correctly configured.
After verifying the above, please try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone and let me know how it goes.
For syncing difficulties, please try the troubleshooting steps from our help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and make sure that the Fitbit app is up to date.
Lastly, let me share with you that your Charge 2 uses the connected-GPS feature to route your exercise with the GPS chip from your mobile device. Looks like the difficulties you're currently experiencing is due to the connection between your device and your phone. That said, please confirm that your mobile device is listed as compatible with our products and services because a compatibility concern can cause connection difficulties.
Keep me posted.

@RicardoFitbit Fitbit kept saying earlier this year that they were working on a solution to the Charge 2/Android 9 syncing issue. They stopped saying that several months ago, and there has been complete radio silence on the issue. None of those threads have been updated. What can you tell us about Fitbit's efforts to solve the Charge 2 problem with Android 9?

Not sure if it's only android 9. I'm using android 5 with app version 3.4.1and a charge 2. I have noticed recently that when the Bluetooth is on and all day synch etc. is selected the connection is not maintained. So notifications are unreliable and so is the synching.
When there is so much going wrong with the basic connections how can we sort out all the other faults, lags in updating etc.
I feel that fitbit are washing their hands of the older models that they haven't managed to kill with their 'updates'.
