Connection difficulties with Inspire HR and LG Stylo 4

I'm very disappointed. I spent the lot of time researching fitness & activity trackers to find the best one. I was very satisfied with the Inspire HR and ordered it. It arrived last night. I thought it would be compatible with any devices that met the criteria. I am very disappointed that it is not syncing with my phone to show notifications such as text and calls. It is tracking my steps just not my notifications. Are there any suggestions or will I have to buy a new phone or a new tracker?

Thanks for your post and the details that were shared with me, your effort and patience troubleshooting this situation prior to posting are appreciated too. Even though your mobile device is not compatible with our products and services, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your Android mobile device that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed.

 

Then, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes. For notifications, please try How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? but keep in mind that using a compatible device is a requirement for the notifications feature to work properly.
