I am wondering how Fitbit counts sreps. Is it necessary for your arm to move to activate the counter? I am a little handicapped and tend to lean on my basket while shopping in stores. These steps don't seem to count.

@Csmsews, it is not always necessary to swing your arms, but when you are pushing a cart, Fitbit does have difficulty picking up that smooth forward motion. If you would really like to register those steps, you could try tucking your Fitbit into a pocket or hooking it to a belt loop.
