Custom Food Not Updating after change

Updated one of my custom foods a couple of months ago online (via website on computer). It STILL has not updated in the app, months later. 

 

Have tried all of the things. Force quitting. Restarting app. Updating app. Restarting phone. Etc.

 

Previously it would take about a week for the update to show. Now it just doesn't at all.

 

Online shows the update. App does not.

 

When will this be fixed?

@greenfroggy1 Nice to see you in the forums again. 

Thanks for reaching out about the custom food items on the Fitbit app. In this case, please make sure that your Fitbit app is up to date. I would also suggest to clear the cache memory of the app and launch it again. That way everything will be loaded again. I had never updated a food item. I have made a change on PC and will watch for changes on my app.

I have done the suggestions you stated above already as noted in my original comment.

 

No updates shown in the app.

 

When will this be fixed?

 

Is there someone else from FitBit who can actually help?

@greenfroggy1 Thanks for the swift reply. It was not clear that cache memory had been cleared already. Thanks for confirming. 

In this case I would create a new custom item, if it is not updating even after months. We shall see if other users experience the same. Thanks again.

@greenfroggy1 Thanks for the reply. 

Note that the community is just a place for users to exchange experiences and possible solutions, in this case workarounds. I checked my custom foods and changes were applied. I changed it from my online dashboard too. When I did the changes on the app, these were applied immediately. What exactly do you change in yours? Have you also tried updating it from the app instead of doing it online? Thanks in advance.

Where do I find a person at FitBit who can help? Is there somewhere else to go?

 

The same person replying continuously is not helping the situation and is only adding to the frustration.

I'm having the same trouble too. Here is a workaround that worked for me. Like they say, this isn't ideal but it only took me a few minutes to log out and back in and get my tracker synced back up. Hope this helps!
