Custom Max Heart Rate Ignored

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My cardiologist doesn't want my heart rate to go above 110 BPM due to IST and the meds I take for it.  However, with the new App version it set my Peak to 111bpm, meaning the 110bpm is my top number for my Cardio Zone, not my "Max".  Even if I remove the Custom Zones my doc wants me to stay in (yes I know I won't get notifications but I need to be able to show the data to my docs for things like med adjustments) it doesn't change the Max HR or other zone numbers.

110 bpm should be way above Peak of 111 bpm110 bpm should be way above Peak of 111 bpmw

In the screen shot you included, you do have the custom zone turned on. If you turned that off, I think your other peak, cardio, and fat burn zone heart rates would drop accordingly.

I mentioned above I tried that already.  No change.

I tried it and just had to click "Done"  at top right to get the zones to reset.  Or even then leave the screen and then come back.

I did that too - if you don't it doesn't save.

Zones depend not only on your max but RHR. If I enter 110 as my max then peak starts at 111. But lower max produces similar effect:

That is probably the issue but too low according to base sample algorithms shouldn't apply?  I mean I am assuming it would be some algorithm generated by collecting everyone's data as it didn't used to work that way prior to the change to the new version of the app.  If I am intentionally overriding by putting my own value in, and my RHR is lowered via medical interventions to an avg. of 60 bpm in order to not die by going above 110 bpm I should be able to do it based on my own data like I used to, not whatever is limiting me now, if that makes sense.  Like 105 bpm should be peak, 90 cardio, 75 fat burn, whatever random numbers needed to be assigned based on the algorithm that is above my 2 standard deviations from my RHR of 60 bpm and below 110 bpm.
