Dashboard won't share with pic

Hi - I'm trying to share my dashboard stats for yesterday with my friends, but when I click on the camera option to select a background photo, it kicks me out back to the dashboard screen. I gave permission one time for the FitBit app to have access to my camera and gallery but I am no longer prompted to do this each time I try.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hello @Osteology.

Thanks for letting us know about this.

Are you running the latest version of the app? I'd recommend that you try to update your Fitbit app to the lastest verison, 7.26 as of yesterday, and then give it another shot. Please do keep me posted on how it goes.

Let me know if there are any other questions.

How do I update to 7.26? When I click the link it just takes me to the Google Play Store where there's an option to open the app, but not update (I'm running 7.25 a the moment)

Hello @Osteology.

What Android version are you running? Android 5.0 is required to be able to download and run the latest version of the app. Could you confirm what version do you have?

If you have 5.0 then try to uninstall the app and install it once again. That should download the latest version.

Let me know if you have nay further questions.

Hello @Christina89.

Thanks for checking that you are on the latest version of the app and Android.

In this case I'd like ask you to try to force close the app and then open it again. This would help so that the app reload all details again and could fix any issues.

Additionally I'd like to ask you some questions:

  • Could you confirm what app version are you running, and also what Android version are you running?
  • What phone are you using?
  • When did this start happening?
  • Do you receive some sort of error message after the app closes?

Look forward to your reply.

Has there been a solution to this issue?  I'm experiencing the same thing, but mine defaults to Bitmoji vs allowing me to select which camera/photo  app to use.  This has been going on since 6/5/19.  I've uninstalled, reinstalled andupdated my app a couple of times, but nothing has helped.  It's doing the same in MyFitnessPal app, which I've linked to FitBit.
