I have messages from 2016 and there is no where to delete them please let me know how I can clear them

If you are referring to messages from the Fitbit app, then it is not possible to delete those messages. 

 

Maybe you could support this suggestion about being able to delete messages. You can comment or vote for it to show your support. Be sure to also read the FAQ to better understand how that board works.
