I recently bought a new charge 2. There was a problem with the device syncing so I tried some initial troubleshooting, like turning off bluetooth and quitting the app. I then tried to close the account and reopen it. When I deleted the account the app will not recognize the charge 2. I've tried restarted the tracker, but it still cannot be recognized. It just says that it is still searching. Can anyone help.

Hello @murphy75, its nice to have you here as a new member in the Fitbit Community. I'm wondering how it goes so far, were you able to set up your tracker again? In your Community profile, I was able to see you have a Charge 2 paired to your account.
Note that the Fitbit account cannot be deleted from the app, so I would like to know more details to provide you a solution in case the issue still persists. Have you removed your tracker from your account? If this is the case, take a look at these steps to set up your tracker again.
In the other hand if your tracker is not able to sync, I'm going to leave the link of the following post that might give you tips and requirements to address these type of issues: Having trouble syncing? (here's how to fix this).
See you around and don't forget to keep me updated how it goes.

I have the exact same problem with my fitbit charge 2. It connected fine the first time but it was accidentally deleted from my account. I tried an other phone and it worked; The fitbit was found in the app and I got the pin code from the fitbit.
But there seem to be no way to reconnect the fitbit to my phone (from where it originally was connected and then deleted)? Any ideas on how to solve this?
Thanks for any help!

Had the same problem took charge 2 back to the shop as I thought it was that after android updated as the watch totally wouldn't come back on. The new watch wouldn't add to my original account as said it was still trying to sync with the other. Had to set up a new user - gutted lost all my badges 😞

Hello @sbnor and @5MW9PC, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community.
The process to set up the tracker back to an existing account change a bit from the process when the account is new.
For Android devices go to your app and open the Account option located in the upper right corner of the screen. Here tap on "Set up a Device" and follow the onscreen instructions to paired the tracker back to your same account. On this post that will provide you more details for android and other devices.
I'm wondering if you have tried to do this process and if you received any error message?
Please give it a try and let me know if you need more help.

Hi there @Lazylizzie, I'm wondering what are the issues is presenting your app when you try to set up your tracker? Is it giving you any error. Note that the steps to set up a tacker either as a new device or replacement can be found in my previous post. Have you tried that steps?
If you have an existing account you need to open your Fitbit app. Although remember is require your mobile device be compatible. For a current list of compatible devices, please visit: www.fitbit.com/devices.
In your Fitbit app tap the Account tab located in the right upper corner.
From there tap "Set up a Device"
Select the tracker you have and tap in the Set Up Your Fitbit Tracker. Here follow the onscreen instructions to complete the process.
If there are any issues during the process to set up the tracker please try these troubleshooting steps for additional help.
Hope this explain better the steps for set up. See you around.
