My Sense 2 counts thousands of steps on my commute, even when set to dominant hand. Understandable, there are limitations to this sort of technology.
What I find ridiculous is that there doesn't seem to be any way to remove the extra steps in the app without deleting the entire day's data. In searching for the answer to this, I found old threads saying you could add an activity for "driving" that would remove them. This doesn't seem to be an option anymore, and manually adding an activity doesn't seem to do anything.
Fitbit support told me there has never been a solution to this problem (despite an earlier rep telling me to add a driving activity) so I'm here as a last-ditch effort before returning my fitbit.
Does anyone know how to remove extra steps? Say, from a specific hour slot?

Hello @AveryVeritas
Unfortunately, I have yet to see a way to delete steps in the Fitbit app without deleting steps for the entire day.
If I do come across a way to delete steps for a specific time period, I'll report back.

For the last few years, driving does not work
Years ago Android had an app to detect driving and auto log it in your fitbit account.
In Product Feedback I find this suggestion
Reintroduce driving as manual activity option
This is a new one introduced this year.
