Did latest app update kill/delete active group challenges?

As of this morning my active (all of which were full) weekly challenges have disappeared.

 

Pending challenges where no one had yet accepted an invite did not disappear.

 

Any chance this is related to the recent app update?

 

I would assume that the data for challenges is not hosted locally but on a server which I would think insulates them from just disappearing.

All of that information disappearing sounds like a very frustrating thing to experience.
