Difficulty setting up new Fitbit Blaze

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have had a Surge for several years and just replaced it with a Blaze.   I'm trying to set up the new tracker, but cannot get past the update.   I've tried on my Galaxy S6 - including rebooting, turning bluetooth on and off, turning off wifi, and no matter what - it won't recognize the Blaze.

I've tried on my Galaxy S5 (yes, I have 2 phones) and it gets to the "Let's get you the latest version - Keep Fitbit Blaze close to your mobile device during this step" but it's been sitting on that screen for literally more than 24 hours and nothing happens.   What am I missing?

Hello @connie36, good to see you here in our Fitbit Community. I was able to see on your Comunity profile your Blaze is already paired. So I wonder how ti goes?

If the issue persist, I wonder if you are able to see an error on the screen of your Blaze? If the update is failing try to keep On your phone without closing the app or locking your phone.

Turn your tracker off and on again using these steps, it might be possible it wont work the first time so attempt this at leats 3 times in a row:

  1. Press and hold the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

Let me know how it goes, I'll be around if you need more help!
