Disappointed in new calorie/food tracker - help?

I use to be an avid fitbit user and sometime in 2022 switched over to a galaxy 4.  I was really missing my fitbit app so when it came time to upgrade I ordered the new charge 6 and re-downloaded the fitbit app and woo boy am I disappointed in the "upgrades." Besides not liking the new layout at all (seems way less helpful/intuitive than it did in the past), I really do not understand the new calorie interface.

Can anyone help me understand it? Talking to fitbit help didn't do anything- they just sent me to the "how to use your fitbit app" which says nothing about the food calorie bit, and the article on the food/calorie bit is from 2017 and has to do with their old app which I much preferred. (PLEASE BRING BACK THE DAILY CALORIE TARGET).  My work was using Noom and gave us all free accounts but I hate that they put your daily range SO LOW (mine was 1200 and I'm an active person) and don't count exercise so I thought I'd go back to my fitbit because I use to love the exercise and nutrition tracking.

Right now I'm seeing "210 cal in - 590 cal out" and showing me I have 285 left in my budget.  Like, great, but I still like to know an "estimate" for the day (I know it changes, and I liked how it changed on the last fitbit if I worked out more, but its still helpful to see some kind of goal- right now I have no clue what range I should be in).

Anyway, maybe I'm missing something or maybe I can get votes on this to bring back the daily calorie estimate.

@fitle   Please vote for and leave a comment on this request in the Product feedback forum.  I honestly believe comments carry more weight than just votes, so please leave a comment.  Like you, I want to see this number on the Today page.  One user wrote that she rearranged the tiles on her web dashboard and moved her cals in/cals out tile to the top and keeps it as a browser bookmark on her phone to see it quickly.

If you don't mind doing a little math, there is a workaround in the app.  Tap on the You icon, then tap on your Health goals.  You will see your total calories allowed for the whole day.  You need to subtract your current calories in to get your calories remaining.  But it just shouldn't be this hard!

It's kind of in two places, on the main screen, mine shows how many calories I've consumed and how many I have left based on the estimated total need for the day.  I think you are looking at the next screen (where you actually see the food you have entered), that one tells you where you are at based on the calories you have currently burned.  Hope that helps.

Oh thank you!! I was on the main page but the small tiles don't show it, but if I scrolled all the way down it shows what's left in my "target" - I didn't even realize that was there. I moved that tile up to the top so now I can see it. Thank you!
