I was recently away with a friend and we both did exactly the same activities but her device read that she had taken twice the amount of steps than mine did? Just can't seem to figure out why?

What device was your friend wearing? Was it a Fitbit?

 

When you say "exactly the same activities", what exactly do you mean?

Work out...eat... sleep...repeat!

Yes my friend's device is a fitbit charge but slightly earlier model than mine. 
We played golf together and walked the same distance (approximately). We were staying at the same apartment and so our walking that day was very similar.
Just couldn't understand that her device said she had walked twice as many steps as mine did?
