Distance and map have become inaccurate since last Fitbit App update (v3.58)

For years the fitbit Android app has been recording runs and walks with quite good accuracy.  Since April 22nd the distances are incorrect and the map is "jumping" around way off track.  I'm not sure what has changed other than the app was updated to 3.5.8.  Any ideas how to correct this?
