Distance is inconsistent

I use my Versa to track my distance while running and the inconsistent distances are getting worse. I run the same track and it can register 1.13 miles one lap and .95 the next - 10 minutes later. Do I just need to get a more reliable tracker or is there a way to fix this?

Are you carrying your phone and connected to GPS?

If not, it calculates distance as number of steps times stride length.  Perhaps your stride length varies, causing different number of steps per lap.

I do have my phone with me and it tracks the GPS. I get the maps in my reports on the app. The exact same circle will be 1.13 and then .95. Maps are identical.
