Does Charge 3 get Clock/Alarms notifications?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I get text msgs but sometimes no notification for incoming calls. But main issue is I have reminders on my Android phone (Clock/Alarms) for which I do not see notifications on Charge 3. Just want to know if this feature is included or not in Charge 3. Thank you!

Hi @cooljolu. Welcome to the Forums!

Thanks for letting me know how the notifications are working on your Charge 3. About your question, you can receive clock/alarms on your tracker but you'll need to set this type of alerts as app notifications. Just follow these steps:

  1. First, you'll need to receive a clock/alarm notification in your phone.
  2. Then, open the Fitbit app and tap on your profile's icon.
  3. Tap on your Charge 3 > Notifications > App Notifications.
  4. Look for your clock/alarm app from the list and enable it.

Take in mind that you can also set alarms in the Fitbit app so they can go through your tracker. Now, since you mentioned that the call notifications not always work, do you remember since when this issue started? Are you doing something specific when the call notifications don't go through your tracker? May I also know your phone's model? In the meantime, try to remove your Charge 3 from the Bluetooth settings on your phone and set up the notifications one more time.

Keep me posted.

Hi Lizzyfitbit,

Thanks for the response and sorry for the delay in replying. The notifications for Alarm/clock are turned "ON" in my phone, but still I do not get notifications for reminders/Alarm from Android. I tried - Removed Charge 3 from the Bluetooth settings on phone and I set up the notifications once again, still nothing... Mine is Android, Samsung Galaxy S10. Not sure what else to do.

And the calls, I'm not doing anything in particular.. Its just sometimes it takes a while for the tracker to pick up the call. Also is there a way to zoom text msgs in the tracker, or at least set as scrolling message like Charge 2? The Charge 3 displays text in "micro characters"..  Can hardly read the text.

Hi @cooljolu. I'm glad to see you here. Sorry for the delay.

Thanks for sharing more details about your Charge 3 and phone, as well for trying the steps suggested above. I've confirmed that your Samsung Galaxy S10 is a compatible device, so let's continue working on this. About your first inquiry, were you able to set the clock/alarm notifications? If not, may I know if the clock/alarm app appears under "App Notifications" in the Fitbit app? It'd look like the picture below (note that the clock/alarm app may vary depending on the phone's model):

About the calls, have you made sure to have your Charge 3 and phone nearby? Besides that, please make sure of the following:

  • Enable Notification Widget is on. You can find this with the other notification settings in the Fitbit app.
  • Make sure Always Connected is on to improve your device's Bluetooth connection.
  • The Fitbit app allowed to run on the background within your phone's settings.

Now, in regards to the messages, currently there isn't a way to increase the font or zoom in the text messages on your tracker, but you can tap on the notification to see the full message.

Keep me posted.

Yes I checked the box for Clock.. Rather I unchecked/checked several times but still no notification on fitbit. I did a trial several times by setting up reminders within span of 5-10 minutes. The reminders goes off on phone, but nothing on fitbit. And yes the phone and fitbit were side by side. This is a little frustrating because if the phone is in some other room and a reminder goes off, I wouldn't know about it until I get to my phone.

Wish I could upvote this!!! Notice no reply... Really a minor fix to current programming. Fitbit OS should fix this or allow Wear OS to operate on their devices.
