I have always been fed up with Fitbit's 'Moderate, Vigorous, Peak ' heart levels when there are perfectly good Heart Rate Zones available, used so much in exercise analysis everywhere else.
Will the new app finally make the change to using HR Zones, or is it going to stick to its own incompatible rating?

Hi @hatanmaek The Public Preview version will become the Google Health app when it is released. It still uses Active Zone Minutes.
Here is some background. Fitbit activity recommendation have followed CDC guidelines for physical activity since the beginning. Fitbit used Active Minutes in older models. Several years ago, the CDC and WHO changed recommendations to include a minimum amount of time per week doing moderate and vigorous activities. AZMs help users meet these activity recommendations.
AZMs and HR Zones have two very different training goals. I recommend sending feedback to Google in the Fitbit app. Tap on your profile picture, then Send feedback.
