strava failed to sync my latest run from my fitbit so i decided to add it manually. however, upon downloading the .tcx file for the activity, i found out that it was empty. could you please advise why this happened and how make sure it doesn't happen again (or perhaps there is a way to rectify it? since activity on fitbit has all the info---path on the map, heart rate etc).
thanks

Hi @grins38 the run you exported, does it have gps data and display a map on the Fitbit app?

hi Rich,
now that i'v checked again i can see that there is no map... which brings us to the problem of why fitbit did not collect gps info (i must have had the signal at the time).

The main reason for not seeing a map is because the GPS has been disabled or the tracker was never able to acquire a location.
I'm still not sure of which of the 4 different possible ways the run was record.

I found a working answer on this thread: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/ratings/ratingdetailpage/message-uid/4821622/rating-system/forum_sol...
It says, "It is actually possible to export the data in TCX format but it requires jumping through a couple of hoops. First you need to export the workout using the Fittostrava website. You will need to connect it to your Fitbit and Stava accounts (it uses Fitbit APIs) and allow it some permissions. It will then export the data to Strava where you will then be able to export/download as a TCX file."
