Since I downloading the Fitbit app my samsung 6S continues to engage Drive mode all day. In the car or out of the car. Then synced with my Samsung tablet and now it is turning on the drive mode all day.

I had the same questions. Have the droid Turbo 2. Just got the Charge 2 and my phone keeps switching to driving mode.  I can go to my settings and turn off the blue tooth so it is not "paired" with my Fitbit but don't I need to have bluetooth enabled so my fitbit and phone sync with one another???  Also thought bluetooth had to be on so it will send me alerts to my fitbit when I receive a text or call?  Never had this problem with my fitbit flex.

My concerns as well!  Frustrating to be standing still and watch my phone send the "I'm driving right now" auto-reply to a text!  I'm going to turn on Bluetooth only when I want to initiate a sync or actually AM driving, and see if that solves the problem.  Silly me; thought technology was supposed to make life easier...

@Wells98 @DancinFool I suggest trying out @Ysmatute's suggestion. That should stop your phone from jumping into "Driving Mode."

I had a similar issue with @Ysmatute's suggestion only being a temporary fix.  What worked for me with my Android phone was:

Message+; Settings; Driving Mode; Uncheck (FitBit Device)...mine was 'Charge 2'; and Uncheck Driving Mode Auto-Reply for good measure if you don't need/want to use it anywhere.

Hope that helps!

Ysmatute was correct. That was a simple fix. Thank you.

I do not understand the solution for the Driving Mode issue in combination with my 3 day old Fitbit. Car Mode is turned off in the Notification Panel. When I go to Messages+ app I don't see anything having to do with Bluetooth Detection. When I go into my regular settings, (that looks like a gear) the only thing that is paired with Bluetooth is the new Alta HR fitbit. I don't want to have to keep on turning on and off bluetooth just to use the fitbit. There have been other glitches with this device so far, which is making me want to return it.

My drive mode is coming on when I'm not driving. I like drive mode but this is not good. Is there a way to fix it on a charge 2? I fallowed your instructions but they do not work for my phone or maybe I just didn't understand how to do it. Any help is good. There's no Bluetooth in my messages.

I figured out how to turn if off on the newer version of Verizon message plus, the path is message+ > settings > driving mode > uncheck all the selected devices and turn off auto reply.

Finally got our IT to figure out how to stop "I'm driving" for messages+.  Here's the solution.  Select Messages+ icon.  Access the menu which is the 3 lines at the top left next to "conversations".  Scroll down to settings and click on settings.  Scroll down to driving mode and click on that.  You will see all paired devices.  Your fitbit is probably checked.   The "I'm driving" will no longer appear for messages, but you will still get the message notification on your fitbit.

Missing one step - Settings > Driving Mode then Bluetooth Detection Setup (:-)

Excellent Advice!

I have done all this. No boxes are checked auto-replies are off.

It is still sending the "Im driving right now" auto-reply to random people at random times....

Anyone have a clue?
