Edited exercise won't save

Hi all-

I have an Inspire (non-HR) that's been pretty solid, but it defaults to recording my horseback riding as "Run" or "Walk." I've been able to successfully edit it in the app after I've synced, but for some reason it's not working at all right now. I can go in, edit, change it to "horseback riding," then hit save, and it returns to the previous screen and still says Run or Walk.

I've rebooted the phone and device, but it still won't save. Currently on v4.23 of the app. Any suggestions?

Hello @outatime

There was a bug affecting the ability to edit completed workouts in the app that was partially fixed. However, I'm now seeing users report that they no longer can edit their exercises in the last few weeks.

I'm going to see if I can escalate this issue and will report back if I get an update.

By the way, while tracking my activities, I got curious about making things even more exciting with sports betting on Betbazar — it's a great way to add a bit of extra fun and motivation. Anyone else trying it out?

I had a similar problem. In my case, forcing the device to sync via the app settings helped. Maybe it's worth trying?

I have the exact same issue, but with yoga - yoga started from my Inspire 3 always gets tracked as "walk" for some reason (guess an older bug that never got fixed), but I have always been able to edit it. The last few days I haven't been able to save my edits - the exercise reverts back to walk.

Hello @outatime @bomarry @Auroratiger

The issue has been escalated and a ticket was opened to track it.

Unfortunately, we don't have any idea how long it will take to roll out a fix. If I learn of any updates, I'll report back.

Before the app updated last night, I could change the generic "workout" to something specific.  Now it no longer works which I see is an issue identified in a number of threads.  The fact Fitbit (Google) created a problem that it has no timeline for fixing is yet another example of how Google has completely tanked Fitbit.

Thank you!

Hi Rieko-

Just installed the latest app update, but it hasn't fixed the issue. It's too bad we can't access the dashboard on a desktop anymore to try and manually edit there - oh well. 😕

Overall this is very frustrating, I've been using Fitbit for 7+ years and the clip-based tracker are the only ones I've found to be accurate for my horseback riding.

Hi @outatime

I understand your frustration & agree that having the dashboard would have been helpful at times like this.

I'm continuing to monitor for any updates and will report back if there's any news.
