Email notifications not always clearing on Versa 3

Can anyone assist on why the versa 3 email notifications sometimes clear when you press delete and other times it doesn't. It deletes the email from your phone but doesnt clear the notification on the versa 3 until you either open up your phone or press clear on notifications. It is alot better when it just automatically clears when pressing delete but it is very tempermental and can do one or the other each time.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which Android mobile device are you using? When was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? In the meantime I receive your answers, please restart your Versa 3 and try the following steps to troubleshoot the Fitbit app:

 

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Login using your account credentials.

Hi Ricardo, I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S10. I first experienced 3 days after I started using the versa 3 and It was during a walk exercise and GPS was in use. It then happened again during another walk exercise and also once more when I wasn't doing any exercise.

Seems odd that this issue is randomly occurring. If you experience this situation again, can you please try the restart process that was shared on my previous post and let me know if the issue persists?

Hi Ricardo

 

I restarted as you said and i went for a walk again today so had it in walk exercise mode and it did the exact same thing again.

A second issue I'm also having is issues with the gps disconnecting and not recording accuratly its missing around 2 miles everytime but my phones gps on strava is recording accuratley, its started cutting out alot more over the last week and still after the restart of the device, phone and reinstalling the fitbit app.

A third issue aswell is since you told me to reinstall the fitbit app my exercises dont load properly when I click on the exercise tab in the app.

Im starting to feel like I made a mistake getting this watch, there's alot of issues in such a short space of time.

Right I now have even more issues.

I've again restarted the device, force stopped the fitbit app, deleted the app and reinstalled after restarting my phone.

I'm going to list all of my issues, although I will probably have to return the device because this is far too many issues in such a short space of time, i previously had a charge 2 for years and never had so many issues.

 

Issue 1: Email notifications not deleting during an exercise until I open up my phone then it deletes the notification from my fitbit device.

 

Issue 2: Text message and Whatsapp notifications have now stopped vibrating or showing as an alert on my fitbit device during an exercise but when I check the notifications on the fitbit device they are there.

 

Issue 3. The fitbit rings during an exercise but does not vibrate even though it does vibrate when not on an exercise.

 

Issue 4: The exercise tab on the app doesn't even load up at all most of the time and thats since after I reinstalled the app on the back of your advice. Sometimes the whole exercise page is just loading and then sometimes the page does load but the maps don't load.

 

Issue 5: The built in GPS is constantly cutting off and miles are missed from my walks. This has got worse over the last week and sometimes the GPS disconnects almost immediately after an exercise starts. I use GPS on my phone to use Strava for the exact same walks at the same time and that works everytime so why does the fitbits built in GPS cut out when my phones GPS doesn't?

 

Issue 6: The fitbit is not always syncing although it is paired to bluetooth and even when I try to unpair and pair again it sometimes still doesnt always sync but then randomly it will.

 

As you can see this is ALOT of issues for something I've only been using for 13 days.
