I forgot to wear my watch to my workout today. None of the steps counted on the watch. Is there a way to enter the amount of steps manually?
Thanks!

Have to manually log a walk for that time.
On phone app Today screen,
Days of Exercise tile > stopwatch icon (top right) > Log Previous tab at top > enter 'Walk' for Exercise Type.
Then there are different parameters to fill in; don't think you get to enter step count but can probably adjust other parameters if you have a particular step number in mind, or just go with step count it gives if you have better idea of time, speed, etc. I was going to add manually logged workouts don't count in challenges but guess that's not relevant any more any longer.

@JohnnyRow Thanks for your help. Top!
@JulieBey Welcome to the forums. Thanks for reaching out about logging steps manually on the Fitbit app.
I have also had that happen to me. As @JohnnyRow explained, you can log your activity on the Fitbit app through the exercise tile. It is the tile with the "running man". Tap on it and then tap on the "+" sign. You will not be able to add a specific amount of steps though. However, you can enter the length of the walk/run. Based on your personal data, it will calculate the amount of steps for the parameters you fill in. My recommendation would be search for a past workout that resembles this last workout you could not log and enter the same distance. That will grant you a similar step count. Hope this helps!

You can actually add the steps but you have to do it from the website. I just spent way too long trying to figure this out so I'm sharing what I did.
1. Go to fitbit.com and login to access your Dashboard
2. Click on the "Log" tab
3. Scroll down to the "Log Activities" section
4. Click on the Walk icon
5. There is a dropdown arrow next to the "Distance" box. Click on that dropdown arrow and select "steps". Note, you do not get the "steps" option from the phone app - at least not the version I have on my iPhone.
6. Start time and Duration are required fields. I searched for too long online to see how to do this without overriding my existing data. I didn't find a good, easy to comprehend answer. To avoid the possibility of overriding my existing data, I just put the start time and duration one hour (because that's how long I walked on my treadmill while typing that all my steps were not recorded for) to start before my normal activity start for the day (with normal activity starting at 6:00 AM, I input my steps started at 5:00 AM with a duration of 1 hour - that way I knew the added steps would not impact my other data).
This appeared to work for me.
Should we have to do this? Absolutely not! I was hoping with Google onboard we'd see improvements in functionality but I'm still waiting.
Hope this helps someone.

But if someone didn't wear tracker for a walk, why wouldn't you want to log the walk instead of just adding the steps? The steps didn't just magically appear; they came from doing the activity. I would expect didn't know exactly how many steps took on the walk, but do know took a walk of certain length or time, so log that time or distance and let fitbit estimate the step count.

My response was only intended to assist with adding missing steps and not to suggest that another user's goal of recording their walk was not important. Certainly, if the number of steps was unknown and the intention was to capture the walking activity, entering the duration and distance would be the most appropriate. I did not mean to suggest otherwise.

You're right; sorry if I sounded rude. My bad.
