Excessive Data Usage

My  Fitbit Charge 4 is pulling from my home Wi-Fi and using a lot of data even when I have the Wi-Fi  turned off on my phone. I thought that if I did not have the Wi-Fi turned on, the data would pull from my phone's data.

I saw a report saying that there was an issue with Android phones (which I have), that was supposedly fixed in the past. What can I do?

@SLP2 A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

I'd like you to log out from the app, force quit it, clear the cache of the app and log back in. Also please make sure you're following these tips to properly use the Fitbit app on your Android phone.

Let me know how it goes. I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

Do you mean to FORCE STOP the app? Will this cause me to lose all my previous data (e.g., calculated steps, sleep patterns)?

@SLP2 Thank you for getting back. Yes force stop the Fitbit app, this won't cause to lose any previous data, however you may want to sync your Fitbit Charge 4 before doing so.
