So I am convinced once they updated the firmware on the ionic that forgot INTENTIONALLY made sure it wouldn't work to charge anymore so you can either upgrade or flat out by a new one all the fitbits that aren't in cycle anymore mysteriously stop working and you have to get something new

If one tenth (or even any) of the posts were true that Fitbit intentionally made a tracker not work at the end of warranty or when new model came out, nobody would have a working Fitbit more than a year or 2 old, and Fitbit definitely would be out of business.  Neither one of those is the case.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
