Exercises and exercise days not loading on Fitbit app

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

For the last few days not of my exercises seem to be uploading to the Fitbit app and the "exercise days" part doesn't load at all. Even if I got back a few days it still doesn't load. It seems like theres an issue with this function. I have tried resetting my Fitbit, deleted the Fitbit app and downloaded again, turned off Bluetooth and connected again but nothing seems to be working.

Hello @Zigzig2

There was a known issue on the Fitbit side that affected syncing exercise data and data discrepancies. A Moderator acknowledged the issue on 12 Sep 2024 and said the team was working on a fix.

I saw that one of issues that might have been a factor was recently fixed. However, I'm not sure that all the issues have been resolved yet. Even if all the problems have been fixed, it could still take some time for all our data to show up in the app.

For now, there isn't any troubleshooting we can do on our side. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer before the problem is fixed. I know the fix can't come soon enough for all of us.

Hi RiekoC

Thanks so much for confirming, I was starting to think that my Fitbit was on the way out!

As per above, yes this is a 'known issue' since a few weeks ago. My activities are not recorded properly anymore. I was on 'chat' with Fitbit Support last weekend and all they would say, repeatedly, is that they are working on a fix and sorry for the 'inconvenience'.

When I pushed them for a timescale for resolution they said it would be 'unethical' for them to tell me this. Make of that what you will. Very odd thing to say. To me, it indicates they're not in a rush to fix it.

Many of us now have a fitness tracker that we paid a lot of money for, that does not track fitness. But that is Google all over, they don't seem to care.

Hello @Linz16

I agree with the response you got from Support. They don't know when the problems would be fixed and would be guessing without having any information to support that timeline. To do something like that is unethical.

To make a point, I've seen a few users report that the support agent gave them a timeline when pressed for an answer. When the resolution didn't come by that time, the users were upset and angry that the agent "lied".

@RiekoC  OK, perhaps I'm not a technical person, but to my uneducated mind it is simply putting the app back to how it was. Not asking for something new. Just for it to work again, which is what we paid for in the first place. So a timeline should not even be needed, it is simply putting it back to how it was, preferably 12 months when everything actually worked brilliantly

I maintain, the responses from Support have been shockingly unhelpful. I was not asking for a specific date, I was asking in terms of days/weeks/months. They could not even answer that to allow me to make an informed decision. If it's going to be 6 months I need to purchase a different product that does track my activities because that is what I mainly use the device for. If it's going to be a few days, I can wait. The lack of transparency and honesty to loyal customers is disrespectful.

Hello @Dalio

The known issue on the Fitbit side that affects our ability to see completed exercise data in the app wasn't fixed in version 4.27.

I've seen Moderator from today (14 Oct 2024) stating that they are submitting feedback from several threads to Support to let them know that users are still having the issue. So far, I haven't seen any timeline for fixing the problems.

It's only getting worse!! When is this going to get fixed? I am quite upset!

Hi what app version are you on? I've updated to 4.28 which I belive is the latest version. The one that was supposed to fix everything. (See my separate post yesterday). I'm still having the same problems. The app will state I've done 'zero' exercise when I've done an hour workout. If I add it in manually, it saves it then later it's disappeared.

So frustrating.

I was told 4.28 would fix these issues. I am now on 4.28. Same problems. Nothings been fixed. Don't know what 4.28 has actually done?

Why are we still discussing this among the users, and not leaving feedback in the Feedback forum

I can't find any thread on this subject over there

Please just get it fixed. The whole app just keeps getting more and more horrible! I'm paying a lot of money for features that don't work or are crappy and tell me nothing. The whole app sucks, excuse my language...
