When the fit it app is updated all you can find out is that it was to fix bugs and stability issues. There has been so many updates it must have been very poorly written (!) in the first place.
I have held off updating for 4 months now after fixing multiple longstanding sync issues with my charge 2 including Fitbit replacing one. Check whether you too have a 2 year guarantee and if you are also offered vouchers\discount for a new model which seems to be the standard reject them and claim the guarantee terms.
