Fit bit quit syncing

Suddenly my fit bit charge HR quit syncing. It is not even 3 months old ! How is this issue corrected???

Hi @Lela-Ann. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums!

There's one more thing you could try and it is setting up your tracker as a new device. For this, you need to go to the Account section on your Fitbit app at the bottom right corner. Here tap on the option  that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you've paired your tracker again, it should be syncing without a problem.

I tried this. It worked for one day and now it is back to not syncing. I
can't sync with phone for computer now.

I would recommend also restarting your mobile device or at least turning the bluetooth off and  back on. Also, try to restart your tracker a couple of times more by pressing and holding the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds and if this doesn't help, try setting up your tracker as a new device.

For this, go to the Account section at the bottom right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem.

My tracker was dead so I have tried restarting the tracker, restarting bluetooth, and my tracker came back on but would not sync (tracker not found). So I tried reinstalling the tracker. I deleted it, but it won't let me reinstall it, just says searching and try again. HELP!

Hi Ive had my blaze first about a year now and since Dec 28th it stopped charging all that you see is the fit bit logo and when I go check in the morning it's still dead

Sorry to hear that your tracker is not responding 😕

Have you tried to restart your tracker  by any chance, if not, you can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot and then you can see how it goes.

I tried everything suggested..nothing worked, then I checked my fitbit phone settings which indicated button was set to require encryption. After turning it off, syncing returned.

My fitbit HR is really getting annoying. I am constantly having to plug it in, turn it off and turn off bluetooth on my phone then start it all back up to get it to sync. If I'm lucky, it will it do it the first time. Also, the charging end is not universal and I know it will fail at some point with all this use. I have also tried setting it up as a 'replacement unit' and that did not solve the issue, either. This started after less than 6 months of use. A wonderful birthday gift from my sons, but I'm beginning to think it's not worth the stress.

Hi, my fitbit alta stopped syncing with my phone 2 days ago. I have tried resetting it like you say but it doesn't do anything. It doesn't appear to turn off and come back on with the logo and version number. It just vibrates once. Is there something more to try?

Encryption had been set to on in my fitbit setting on phone. Once I turned it off, fitbit synced.

Sometimes your tracker's bluetooth may get stuck as it happens with other bluetooth devices. What I can recommend for this situation is to restart your tracker. For your Fitbit Charge HR just put it to charge as you would normally do, then press and hold the button while charging for 10-12 seconds and your tracker will turn off and come back on with the Fitbit Logo and the  version number. After that, it's also worth turning offy our phone's bluetooth off and turning it back on and then just try to restart your tracker again and see how if it syncs without any problem.

Still not sinking

I suspect Fitbit servers are currently Fraked.

 

My fitbit shows last sync time of 18:33 yesterdayand erased half of my data from yesterday. Before I went to bed I had over 11000 steps and around 2700 calories burned, but now afterthe last sync attempt it reset to earlier data of just under 2400 calories and under9300 steps.

Hi!  Thanks for responding so quickly!  I have the fit bit flex.  I saw other comments on how to reset, but I don't believe mine has buttons.  🙂

I have a brand new alta that quit syncing after first charge. I dint see buttons. How do u reset?

I've no idea how to assist you. I was never able reset mine or get it to
work again. I haven't used it in almost a year. I wish you l luck.
