FitBit unable to write Water data to Health Connect

There is water option to collect water intake metrics. But there is no option to write that information to Health Connect. Seems like typical Google chaos: randomly implementing half-done features without thinking properly.

Is there an open feature request to allow writing water metrics to Health Connect?

I noticed the same thing and would also like this feature. 

Nutrition/water isn't listed as Allowed to write option for Fibit in Health Connect

It looks like the API is there on paper, but full write access for water intake just isn't implemented yet. So apps can show you the stats, but they can't actually sync with each other. It kind of defeats the whole purpose of Health Connect being a single source of truth for your data.
