Fitbit Alta HR / Samsung A5 2016

Hello,
I'm thinking about buying Fitbit Alta HR.
I would like to ask if anyone has the Fitbit Alta HR band and uses it with the Samsung A5 2016 phone. I checked the list and found out that the phone is not compatible with the smartband. Can you tell me what does not work?
Another question ... is there any hope that this phone model will be compatible with the band in the near future?
Thanks for the answers. 🙂

Welcome to the Forums @plina1994.

I'll gladly answer your questions.

  1. It doesn't necessarily mean that something won't work, it means that we can't guarantee that functionality will be at 100% all of the time. Some users have had 0 issues with phones that are not on the list, some have issues here and there and some others can't get the phones to work properly at all.
  2. We have to news about that at the time. As soon as we have an expected time frame or update, we'll let everyone know.

Having said all of that, I have to point out that the minimum requirements for the app to work is that the phone runs Android 4.4+ and that it has Bluetooth 4.0. As long as those are there, you have a chance of it working.

Some users have reported that going through these troubleshooting steps works for phones that are not on the list, however. It is certainty worth a shot.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
