Fitbit Alta HR and LG G6 compatibility

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Fitbit put out a patch in Sept when alta wouldn't snyc with Android phones. It worked for a while but now my last successful sync was Oct 25...

It's incredibly frustrating that it isn't working yet again. I haven't even had the device for a year and I'm regretting my purchase. Is this another known issue?

What phone are you using? Have you worked through all the troubleshoots in THIS Help Article on syncing issues?

I'm using an LG G6. The app updated last night and the sync finally worked. I went through all those steps the last time it wasn't syncing and it only worked with the patch update that was sent out... I keep having this issue where it won't sync for a week. I do charge it every week so the device itself has never been 0 battery. Though this week the battery drained in only a few days.

Unfortunately that phone isnt on the Supported Devices List which I think is the root of your problems. I am glad it is working again though.

Really?! Why wouldn't it be supported, and are there any plans to add it to that list?

It is not supported either because that phone has problems with Fitbits or it hasnt been fully tested yet. Fitbit dont say what phones they are working on or give projected dates for inclusion in the list.

Hi there @Krista_van, welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

As @NellyG mentioned, when it comes to devices compatibility, if a device is not on the list of compatible devices, you might be able to sync with it but we don't guarantee that the functionality will be optimum as we are still testing on these phone models and due to the large number of Android and Windows devices, our team has not yet tested all of them.

In the meantime, I can recommend using an alternate device that is compatible or you can also use a Windows 10 computer if it has a built in  Bluetooth to get your tracker to sync.

If you need more help, let us know. We'll be happy to help you out!

PS. I'm moving your thread to the Android app board for categorization purposes.
