I just saw Fitbit 3.39.2 available. 

 

What's new:

*Critical Bug fixes and performance improvements

 

Can I know what critical bug fix is it referring to?

Fitbit usually just releases general statements such as these when an update is available.  I have not known them to provide further details.  You can be confident that it is not a security issue, as these are listed as security updates rather than bugs.

There's critical bug that makes it literally impossible to sync devices for many of us, but it hasn't been fixed with this update
