Is anyone else having issues with the Fitbit app crashing?
I have tried rebooting my phone, opening it through my widget, and opening it through my apps. I keep getting the following message:
Fitibt has stopped.
Restart App

After the latest software update to the android app when I complete my walk/run and click and hold the finish button the expected map and activity data is displayed. When I then click on the back/return to dashboard view the fitbit app crashes and I lose all my data.
Very frustrating.

Mine also crashed after the update. After update it asked me to log in again, and it would crash if I pushed any button on that screen. Using Android 7.0 on a Samsung Galaxy S7. Uninstall and reinstall per below seems to clear that problem, but the sleep data now looks bogus - no way I'm only getting 4 hours of sleep - should be close to 8. And no way I walked 15 km in a whole day - let alone the one hour I know I actually walked.

I know this thread is over a year old, but I can't find anything more recent. I'm getting the same message that the fitbit app is closing. I can either open or report it, but sometimes the options are to close it or report it. this only seems to happen when I'm in my car using the google maps app. I don't use it when I'm not in the car so I don't know if it would happen then or not. I have a moto z2 force running 8.0 and a fitbit ionic. all are updated, including the fitbit app and ionic. this has been happening for the last month or so. just irritating because it hides my maps app and I have to glance over and tap the phone to close or open the fitbit app when I'm driving alone. I haven't tested to see if the maps app would continue to give directions when this happens because if I'm using maps, I need the directions.
