Fitbit App Dark Mode

I've had the app for about 5 yrs, and I've always ran it in dark mode on every device I've used (Samsung or Google). But there was an update within the last week or so  that took away this feature! In God's name, why? 

Now the app is horrible, and even painful, to use on my Pixel 7pro! 

Am I missing something in the settings? Is there a way to get back to dark mode?

If not, I will be selling my FB and moving on to something more user friendly!

The Fitbit team announced they would be implementing a dark mode option for the redesigned Fitbit app late last year. Many of us are anxiously waiting for the app update where this option will be made available.
