Thanks for the suggestion @Wadjei. I will try to remember it. But this isn't a syncing issue per se. The app can't find my device to perform the set up after reinstalling the app. I have already unpaired the device in my phones Bluetooth.

I've also had the battery drain issue. I saw were reinstalling the app fixed it for some, well I tried that and now I have another bonus. My watch now freezes and I need to left button, bottom right button. It comes back up and freezes again. I'd like to reset it (for the umpteenth time) but can't.
This is the third watch manufacturer I've tried. All have problems.
When I worked in technology for over 30 years, I would have been fired for producing crap like this.

My app has not worked in 2 weeks, and it worked fine before on my moto e4. The update released today is of no help. It crashes the second it opens. I have cleared the cache, uninstalled and reinstalled several times.
I downloaded the app on my tablet so at least it'll sync when I'm home, which is hardly ever....

This is not resolving the issue.

Hi everybody! Thanks for keep adding your experience with your Fitbit App for Android.
If you're still having issues with the Fitbit App, please make sure that it is running the latest version and try to uninstall and reinstall it.
For syncing issues please check the list of compatible devices first and follow the suggestions in this article. If you're getting an specific error message while doing so, please take a screenshot of it so we can take a look of it.
I'll be around.

If I had a dollar for every time I reinstalled...
Now not only has the app not worked on my phone for WEEKS, I wake up this morning to my clock face having an error, so I go into the app on my tablet to change the clockface and now it crashes every time I go into the clockface tab. So essentially, I have a $200 paperweight.

Thank for getting back confirming the steps that you've tried until now @SunsetRunner.
I noticed that you're using the Moto4 model, please note that your phone is not on our list of compatible devices (fitbit.com/devices). Since the devices on this list have been confirmed as fully compatible with all features of Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app. While a phone or tablet may not be verified as fully compatible, the Fitbit app may still work with your device.
We routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. Be sure to verify that your phone or tablet meets the minimum operating system requirements, which you can find in our help article: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?
Note that the majority of Android phones running version 4.4 or higher will work with our products. If your phone supports Bluetooth 4.0, we provide assistance and troubleshooting steps. But when a phone is not fully compatible we can't guarantee syncing and other Fitbit features will work flawless. You can try with a different mobile device or computer, you might have better results in that way. Our team is always testing new devices to have more options for our users, but we'll have to wait for future updates.
About the issues with your Versa, have you tried to restart it.? What specific error was this showing?
Thanks for your understanding.

@YojanaFitbit I would love to see that list of devices but when I try to view it I can only see one column width of it so half cannot be viewed as I can't shift the hidden half to display on my phone. Don't tell me, I can't see the list of compatible devices because my device isn't on the list.

Nice to see that you're digging into the Forums @Averros, let me give you a warm welcome to our Community. Thanks for trying the suggested workaround. I'd to know what model is your phone and also please confirm that it is up to date. Same thing with the Fitbit App.
Nice to see you again @Lilbiddy. The list of tested devices is open to public view on the official site. If you're not able to see it in your phone browser, I'd suggest to maybe trying a different browser or you can also try cookies and cache to see if it will be shown in that way. I tried my device and it is working from my end. What model is your phone?
I'll be around.

@YojanaFitbit hi again.
The list I was trying to view was in the article you cited 'which phones or tablets can I use with my device or tracker? '
The other link isn't very useful as you have to enter each model of phone, it is not an all inclusive list. It's the complete list that I want to see.
As I live in a rural area my immediate choices are limited by which retailers there are and what stock they carry. A full list would enable me to maybe consider a device that I would not otherwise be aware of.
As you asked, I am currently using a Sony experia m4 aqua using the current update or when there are problems a kindle fire with app version 2.63.
By the way, I also tried to view that article on my kindle and it still only displays the left side of the list of Android phones.

Thanks for getting back @Lilbiddy! You're right about the link I already check it, I'll pass along the information, but thanks for confirming the model of phone that you're using.
I understand how difficult should be trying to get different model of phones in rural areas. But I checked the list of Sonny Xperia and noticed that the M2 is listed there but not the M4. When a model of phone is not in the list of tested devices we can't assure it will be working flawless, but we have received reports from different users who are able to connect them with some help. Is your phone syncing with your Fitbit?
I hope this helps.

Hi @YojanaFitbit, my phone is currently doing all I ask of it, I have never used notifications so I don't know about that or GPS tracking. I can't complain about stuff I don't use.
I do however wonder what will happen when the inevitable built in obsolescence finally hits my phone. My previous one (pre my fitbit) died suddenly. One minute fine then nothing, totally dead. This is why I would like to be able to know what my options are rather than encountering the common experience of getting a new phone only to find that it won't work or only partially after much tearing of hair and gnashing of teeth.
Thanks for checking this out for me.

I started to face same problem since last week, and have to uninstall, and install again every day. Is there is any update done on this app, and is there any long term solution for this.

Hi @sunnny, welcome to this thread! @Lilbiddy thanks for getting back. Can you please check if the Fitbit App is still crashing after to download the version 2.76.1 that was release a couple of days ago. I'll be waiting your feedback.
Thanks in advance.

I received an update yesterday which seems to have finally fixed a whole bunch of issues (hopefully, i'm not speaking too soon!)
Sudden crashes are gone, the in-app heart rate monitor now works again (it hasn't done for most of August) and the app is generally snappier.
