Fitbit App (v3.84.1 ) constantly crashing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Today the android app (both the current version 3.84.1 and previous build [unknown version]) crash repeatedly when I select the "gear" symbol on the top left to view available devices.

The expected list pops up and then the app shuts down.

My account was migrated to a Google account earlier this week.

This is on a Pixel 6a running Android 13, June 5, 2025 update, build TQ3A.23060605.010.

Mine worked fine this morning & then started crashing this afternoon on my Samsung S22+. I'm using my Fitbit account sign in. The app updated after this started happening. I have not gotten the software update at this point.

Just want to report that although nothing changed on my end, today (Thursday) the app is working correctly.

Mine is working today as well.

Hello @PeterT & @DonnaMG

I'm so glad to see that your Fitbits are back to working normally.

Apparently, there were sync issues for Fitbit users who switched to Google login due to a Google server issue. Thankfully, the issue was resolved yesterday (28 Jun 2023).

Are you still on version 3.84.1? I updated to this yesterday, but the play store now only shows the previous version.

Hhmm, I'm on 3.83.1

Still on 3.84.1 but I only see 3.83.1 in the store.

My mistake. I am on 3.84.1 and see that the store shows 3.83.1. Weird. Anyway, mine is working today and I migrated to using my Google account this morning.

@PeterT Welcome to the forums. @DonnaMG @OldFogey @RiekoC Nice to see you in the forums again.

@RiekoC Appreciate your input!

@PeterT @DonnaMG Thanks for reaching out about the Fitbit app and reporting the situation. I am glad read everything is back to normal again. Thanks for keeping us updated.

@OldFogey Recently many version of the app have been launched. Usually they are launched in waves for testing. I assume you may have gotten the latest version and then it was pulled back after testing. I suggest you keep the version you have installed until the Google Playstore lets you update the app. Is your Fitbit app also crashing?
