Fitbit Blaze refuses to sync to Samsing Galaxy S8

I have tried every single bit of troubleshooting that is possible. It'll work fine, then the app will update, then nothing. Or, it'll randomly quit working for no discernible reason. I am so frustrated and about ready to trash Fitbit and find another smartwatch. Which sucks, because I love my Fitbit when it works! I just checked the compatibility list, and it does include the Samsung Galaxy S8. What. Gives. I have turned my phone off and on, I have turned off and on  my bluetooth, I have restarted my fitbit, I have force closed the app and reopened.... I don't want to uninstall the app because 1) I'll lose my data that didn't sync for the last few days when I didn't really have time to spend an hour trying to fix it, again, and 2) I shouldn't have to keep doing this! If I uninstall the app to fix this, it'll be the.... Third or fourth time I've had to.

Hello @booklvr630, nice to see you around the Fitbit Community! I was reading you are having a hard time to sync your Fitbit tracker with your Galaxy S8, despite all your efforts to address this issue.

It's been a few days since you posted, so I'm wondering how it goes? If the issue persist please take a look to this post to review the steps you have taken, plus additional suggestions. Perhaps there is something missing that we can try: Having trouble syncing? (here's how to fix this).

Uninstalling the app will not do anything wrong to your tracker but as you mentioned before, it is important to sync your tracker before you proceed. However instead of removing your app can do this as an alternative:

Clear the App cache:

If you have this version, please log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.

If that does not work, I suggest syncing via a computer in order to keep your information.

Hope this helps and let me know how it goes.
