Fitbit Charge 3 won't sync - says fitbit.com is down for maintenance

Fitbit Charge 3 quit syncing, so I logged out of app to restart.  Now it won't log back into fitbit.com - says the website is down for maintenance, but I can still log in here.  Is there an issue?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @SunsetRunner! We received some reports the Fitbit suffer an outage that affected the access of the Fitbit account. However, this problem should be resolved now and you should be able to sync and log via the the online Dashboard or your Android devices again. Smiley Very Happy

 

If the issue persists, try the following:

 

  • Turn off the Bluetooth
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes
  • Turn on the Bluetooth
  • Log back into your Fitbit app
