So I've uninstall Ed and reinstalled the app. I've changed the battery settings so it's not optimised. I've turned the phone off and on again. I've turned Bluetooth off and on again. And I've rebooted the fitbit device. I still can't pair the device with the app.
Previously it was paired and not synching. On following advice I uninstall Ed and reinstalled the app etc. So it did pair. Was purchased Dec 2020 so not old. Not even been in water.
All ideas welcomed. I'm stumped and more than a wee bit frustrated.
