I used to run with Sportypal running app. Accurate!

Now i use the Fitbit app and it seems to cut the corners during a running session. Cutting short 500 up to 600 meters during a 10 kilometer run.

How do i set the GPS to be more accurate. It displays straight lines sometimes while i'm running a curvy path.
(Don't mind my English language please, i'm Dutch.)

Hi there @Buutveld, welcome to our community. In this case you are using MobileRun to track with GPS your running course. Note that it can be several reason why is happening this. The environment you are in can affect the signal strength of GPS. For example, if you are running in an urban environment with many tall buildings, your GPS may not trace your course accurately. Remember that GPS will have an average radio of distance of your current position if the signal is weak and If you use MobileRun while wearing a tracker: steps, HR, and floors are counted on your tracker; while GPS, and distance are counted via your mobile device. I recommend to log out from your Fitbit app and reboot your phone. Also take a look at this article: "Can I track a GPS activity using the Fitbit app?" for more information about this.

Let me know how it goes mi friend. Robot wink

Thnx for your reply.

The Fitbit app is just not ass accurate as the Sportypal app. I used then together at the same time during my last running session.

Below are the results. Weird!

I wish i could fine-tune the GPS in the Fitbit app.
