In the same space as the cardio target for the day, there is now a box that says:
Fitbit Labs
Ready to upload your first lab report?
Get a simple summary of your lab report. If you're not not ready, please share why in the survey.
Get started
If I tap on "Get started", I am taken to a screen where I can scroll down and choose "No thanks" or "Agree & Continue". If I choose "No thanks", I never get a survey, it just closes, and the notification box never ever goes away.
It has been like this for a couple of days now. I don't want to participate in Fitbit Labs. I have turned off Fitbit Labs in my setting. Why is this box not going away??? I am tired of scrolling past it.

@alexthecat I really don't want to be snarky, but you don't seem to have read what I wrote, either.

Also, whoever edited my subject line was just rude. You do not get to edit for style.

What happens if you select Get started, then Leave waitlist?

Ok, sorry about that.
We're mostly users on the forums just like you, we're not employees, just volunteers, so if our questions or suggestions seem like we're not listening, it's because we're trying to narrow the list of possible solutions.
We'll keep thinking!

Absolutely nothing. I've had the stupid box for days now. I've turned off all notifications for fitbit labs, deleted all fitbit lab data, tried joining and leaving, turned off fitbit labs entirely, and the stupid box is still there. It's very annoying,

I have a ticket in to the help center regarding this. The chat person couldn't get rid of it either. If I get any useful information in the email they are supposed to send I'll let you know.

Yes!!! I HATE this. I have complained to Fitbit about adding elements that I have not requested. I DON'T WANT to participate in this, and I'm about to end my relationship with Fitbit if they continue to push unwanted stuff on me. At least make it possible to delete it.

This still doesn't get rid of the lab icon on my phone app.

It's an unwanted advertisement meant to fill the waitlist for their latest fitbit labs feature. I don't know anyone who'd upload health documents to this app to help explain the results of lab work. I certainly wouldn't and I'm tired of being asked if I'm ready to get started. Fitbit, just include an x so we can close the box already. It's super annoying to see something unwanted and not useful sitting in a prime spot on the YOU and TODAY pages of the app.

Hi everybody! Thank you for your reports and efforts.
Our team has been informed and they are looking into this.
To help them investigate this, could you please share with us, the phone model and the operating system version it uses? (eg. Pixel Phone 6 Android 15, iPhone 14 iOS 18.3, etc) .
We appreciate your collaboration.
Hopefully this gets solved soon.
I'll update the thread as soon as I get more info.

I agree and share the same frustration. I have repeatedly declined to participate in research and it continues to pop up. Likewise, I'm considering ending my relationship with fitbit. As far as I'm concerned, this is unwanted spam. It's unfortunate if Fitbit would rather lose their customers rather than change their practices.

I guess they think if they hassle you about it enough, you'll give in. It's tactics like that and the fact that they are discontinuing the Fitbit Sense line and instead suggesting getting their Pixel watch that is making me lean towards cancelling my relationship with Fitbit as well. Fitbit Sense battery life = 5 days, Pixel watch battery life = 1 day. It seems that Google buying Fitbit was the worst thing that could have happened to them.

@mitxelena14 I agree with you. I have provided feedback via the mobile app. Like others have stated, there is never any acknowledgement that the feedback was received and will be considered or fixed.
It also seems if we have opted out of (turned off) the Fitbit Labs, it should go away, but no, it is still everywhere.
I just wish they would quit taking things away that we DO like, and stop refusing to take away things we have said we DO NOT like.
