Is the fitbit surge not compatible with the Galaxy S6 active Android? My fitbit screen says "Let's get started" and my phone cannot locate the device..help please!

I got my Surge Friday and it finally connected after 3 hours of trying. Now mine wont sync to update the app. I think there is a major problem with the app.

Its a hit or miss when syncing!

I'm probably taking mine back until they get all the glitches worked out.
