Hi everyone. The past few days, I have been getting well over 10,000 steps. For example, Friday I got 16,500 steps but then the next day when I looked at my dashboard on the Fitbit app, all those steps were gone and it said I only got 170 steps. This has been happening since Friday and I don't know why. I have tried manual syncing, updating my phone, updated my Fitbit, deleted my Fitbit off my account and synced it back up, and the problem still occurs. How can I fix this?

Hello @Galaxy_Queen_92
Has your missing historical step data returned in the app? I've seen other users report that they can see their previously missing data now.

Originally the Fitbit collected data and sent it to the phone app which displayed it. But now the Fitbit collects the data and sends to the app which sends the data to Google and then download data from Google to display it on the phone. So I suspect that sync problems might be a Google download issue as a result of the external data processing by Google.
That is just an illustration of the modern world, originally the Fitbit was only created to help medical health data collection and public analysis, I was very happy with my Fitbit originally, it still works great but data is a problem everywhere these days.

Hello @casportpony
Have you tried uninstalling, then re-installing the Fitbit app on your phone? This method worked for many users who were missing their historical step data.
Please let us know if you still don't see your step data.
