To be clear, it isn't the Fitbit phone application, it is the Fitbit Today application on the Pixel 3 Watch. I'll wait a few more days to see if it corrects itself like others have reported.
Hmm, the Fitbit today app is back to crashing again. So it was just working this morning, but isn't anymore.
I am also having this same issue. I have reset the watch twice. The best I got is that it will last a few more seconds but it still crashes out. I am still within the return date of the watch and wondering if I should just return to get a replacement since it seems to be hit or miss
I keep getting the "Could not sync your Google pixel Watch 3" when I try to refresh Fitbit AND my Fitbit today keeps crashing on my watch as well. So none of my exercises are being tracked during the week as well. This is so frustrating. I'm about to go back to my old watch!
I try to unlink the watch and now I'm not able to connect the watch again because of the crashes. It's very frustrating. The apple watch was so much better...
Having the same issue here. Could not sync error on the app, Fitbit Today crashing on the PW1 and Exercise Days but updating on the phone app. Some data does appear to get through, heart rate data, Active Zone minutes and stuff but no exercise data.
I reset the watch, unlinked, deleted the app, re-installed and relinked everything. It seemed to work for a while but now it has stopped again...
Fitbit please do something.
I'm still trying to get this issue escalated, but haven't received a response yet.
As a Pixel Watch 3 user, I'm as frustrated as you all are. The fix can't come soon enough.

There is no escalation as it is a deliberate decision by Google.
Any upgrade that has been regression tested and subsequently casuses issues would be rolled back immediately until the feature is resolved. They have taken the decision to rollout an undercooked feature and deal with the fallout so they can make whatever change they want, whether that is close the old dashboard, add some new data logging metric or whatever. That a 2tn Dollar data company cant fix a metric loggiing issue after three weeks is quite laughable.
Whats worse is there isnt even a single bit of communication from anyone in the forums acknowlaging the issue or communicating a time for fix.
I did get a response from Fitbit and Fitbit support on X. They acknowledged the issue, asked for some details and said they were escalating. They also said they did not have a timeframe for a fix. Somewhere, I can't find it now, someone else from Fitbit came back to me and said they were aware of the issue and that a fix was due, in the next few weeks...
I have just had a similar response although even more vague, not in next few weeks but in the coming weeks. If anything is communicated as next few and coming weeks its a long way off!
Hi
My watch is still working, after it started to work for some days ago,I haven't had any problems with fitbit or the watch since.
-i had the sync error fail on the phone app, and the Fitbit today app crashing on my pixel 3 watch.
I have the same exact issue. The Fitbit today app on the Pixel Watch 3 crashes immediately after launching. My phone app will not sync the Exercise Days either. I have turned bluetooth on and off, uninstalled and reinstalled Fitbit on both the phone and watch and restarted, etc. Nothing fixes it. It just started to happen today. It's really frustrating being a premium user and experiencing such buggy software and poor quality.
Best AnswerIt has something to do with the new Fitbit app release. When I turn my Bluetooth off on my phone the app launches fine on the watch. It's when Bluetooth is on that it immediately crashes when opened on the watch. I suspect it has to do with the sync process. Something is bugged with it.
Nice catch, I can confirm that if I turn the Bluetooth off on my phone, the Fitbit today app does not crash on my pixel watch 3 as well.
