My Fitbit versa 2 hasn't been able to keep a connection to my phone for days. The last log of the smartwatch shows December 6th, 2020. It is now January 1st, 2021.
Yesterday the app wouldn't access my wifi and the Fitbit couldn't find my phone despite me rebooting the watch, my phone, and my wifi several times; despite checking Bluetooth was on, despite everything I read to try online. Today the same problem and furthermore the Fitbit app on my phone keeps crashing. The second I tap on my photo in the app to open my account the app crashes and I am asked to send a report to Mi. (zero response to that) Therefore I can do nothing with the app. I have had the smartwatch for exactly a year and it has regularly had problems with my phone. I'm not very happy with it, to be honest.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Should I uninstall and reinstall the app?
The watch is useless without the app so yeah... not impressed at all.

@CharlotteV2, did you look at the article on memory management for your phone that was referenced in the other thread you posted this same problem to? Did that help?

Thanks USAF-Larry but since my problem isn't notifications, it's my smartwatch not being able to connect with the app and the app crashing, I didn't look much further into that thread. I went back and found that article after you suggested it but the link is dead. The article has been deleted.

Okay, I read the article and everything on my phone was already set with those settings so it didn't help. But thanks anyway...

I just clicked on the link, and it opened. Apparently something on your system is blocking access to that page. You might try to do google search for "How to fix MIUI push notifications in 2021", and see if it finds it on an accessible page.
