UPDATE: An updated version has now appeared on Google Play and seems to have resolved the problem.
As of today my fitbit app won't launch. After a few attempts it comes up with a message saying the app has a bug and that I should install an update when provided by the developer. I have tried all the usual fixed including uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but nothing works.

I have now done this and it is all working again. You need to uninstall the Fitbit app from your device. Then go to Google Play and download it again. The Fitbit app available to down load is the previous version released on 8th April. When you open it you need to login again with your Google account (provided you switched to Google managing your Fitbit app previously). You will need to pair your device with the app and not all of the settings you had previously will have carried over, so you need to set things up as you want them e.g. notifications, setting for the Fitbit to vibrate etc. However, all your data will still be there that was stored in the app, so you will have your workout history. Hope this helps.

This is also happening to me.The app was working on Wedneaday and won't open today. There was a recent update. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, restarted my phone, turned the Bluetooth on and off. After reinstalling the app, I open it, it asks me to log in, I do and it closes. It will not open again until I reinstall it with the same result of it closing as soon as I try to log in. Please help!

I've been on a chat with Google today. They say developers are working on a fix and an update should be released within 48 hours.

Same problem here. Only solution seems to be to wait, or try out a different tracker.

Appears Google went back to the previous version 4.67. It is available in the play store. Unfortunately it is a complete uninstall, install and reset all option settings. Seems Google cannot figure out how to release an update to roll back a release.

@Cab12345 Can you explain what you mean please? What do we need to do to reinstall the previous version and what option settings do we need to change?
