Fitbit app effecting lock screen on phone S7??

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I normally have a pattern lock screen, I do that because my phones screen is extra sensitive and it would open and unlock in my pocket while Out and Abouts. There's a reason for the patterned lock to be there.

I want my Pattern lock screen Back Please! HELP

Hello @Browneyegirl258, let me start by giving you a warm welcome. I wonder in which way the Fitbit app is affecting your lock screen? Please provide all the pertinent details to understand better this scenario since the app shouldn't affect your phone settings as the app has not access to this options.

If you can share a screenshot, it will be super useful to understand better this issue and find a solution.

I'll be waiting for your replay, see you around.

Hi @Browneyegirl258 and @wydgaw73. I'm sorry for not posting recently on this thread.

Thank you so much for the screenshot @Browneyegirl258 and for the advice too @wydgaw73.

@Browneyegirl258 how it goes so far? is the issue persisting? Note that as I mentioned before the Fitbit app should not affecting the lock screen of your phone. So if the issue still persists I recommend to Log out from your Fitbit app, make sure you enable the pattern lock screen. Restart your phone and once it has loaded your phone, go back to the app and log back in to your Fitbit account.

Something else I'm thinking it might be the reason, is if your tracker is listed as trusted device on your phone with the option of Smart Lock. Some of the newest Android mobile phones has this option of Smart Lock that works in different ways about the lock screen of your phone. In example: if your are near or depending of your location your lock screen would react different. In addition there is an option of trusted devices, where you can add your tracker via NFC or Bluetooth and your lock screen will change the behavior if the trackers is near.

In my case I own an Xperia phone so probably the settings may vary, but this option is located in security and you need to established your pattern lock screen to access this option.

Let me know if the issue persists. I'll be here.
