I am beyond frustrated. The app has not recorded steps or sleep since April 3. It now shows calories instead of steps and that isn't important to me. I can't get an answer from the app designer. I held for a live chat for more than an hour before I finally disconnected. I have been a loyal FB user for many years but I'm seriously thinking of switching because of the poor quality of the app.

Based in what you mentioned, it seems that your Fitbit device isn't paired to your account anymore and this is why you're only getting calories burned. To confirm this, go to your Fitbit app and if you don't see your Fitbit device icon, this means that it's no longer paired, please follow this set up procedure to add it again.
If you experience difficulties adding it back, try this troubleshooting.
