HI.
I have a chevy traverse and a charge 2 fitbit. My autoconnection to my traverse bluetooth has always worked fine while my fitbit app has been on my phone (since october). After the last update, my traverse will no longer autoconnect to my phone through bluetooth. I can manually connect, but not auto connect.
I was told to try starting my phone in safe mode and rule out 3rd party apps. AS soon as i did this, it worked fine. I uninstalled the fitbit app and started in regular mode again and my phone autoconnected to my car with no problem.
Now, I reinstall the fitbit app......and NO autoconnection again. So it's got to be something with the communication of the bluetooth with these two things or the fitbit app itself. It only begun after the last update. Please help!!!

Mine won’t connect with my Kia Optima and iPhone. My Charge 3 seems to block the Bluetooth phone signal. What did they do with the last update? Guess I have to get an Apple Watch instead.

I had a similar problem where my phone kept disconnecting my car bluetooth connection as long as I wore fitbit versa2. Fitbit could not help solve this issue for me. However, fortunately there is a way around this problem and there is no need to delete the app every time.
Before you sit in the car, switch off your fitbit then switch it back on when you step out (yes, it can be switched off). Go to settings on your watch, tap on it, scroll up and tap on "About". Scroll up again and tap on "Shutdown", tap on "yes" to shut it off. Now your phone connection to your car bluetooth will not disconnect. When you step out of your car, switch on your watch by pressing the button on the side till fitbit logo appears (your watch is now switched on).
Hope this helps.

Yep. It's February 2020, I'm driving a Toyota Sienna, and the my Samsung a-50 will not even connect to my car's Bluetooth when the fitbit app is installed. No app, no issue. App = no connection. It's a shame this is still happening 2 years later, and obviously a known issue. None of the recommended articles do anything to help. Only removing the app helps. So I'll never have access to my fitbit data unless I'm willing to install, sync, then remove it on a daily basis or never have Bluetooth connectivity in my car, which is a safety issue.

I find that I don't accept messages and deselected the phone on the app...
I only use it to track and don't use the watch to its fullest capability,
rather invest in a Samsung smart watch, pity I spent so mu h in the watch
otherwise I would rather use a smart watch made by my phone manufacturer.
Kind regards

Thank you for posting this message. I too am having this problem and the FitBit support basically denied it's an issue. I just purchased a Versa 2 (my 3rd Fitbit product) and now my iPhone 8 no longer connects to my BMW's bluetooth. I've had the car for 3 years and never had this issue with my previous FitBits. I'll try your solution and I hope FitBit will read this forum and realize they have a problem.

I'm having the same problem with my Ford 250 and my versa3 fitbit. I have to disconnect the blothtooth to my truck and turn it back on for every call. It is not making me happy at all.
