@Rich_Laue Thanks for your input. Yeah I also have the icon and a Fitbit widget on my home screen and I sometimes accidentally tap on it and opens the Fitbit app. I would also consider touch screen issue if the icon is on the home screen.

@doctor2260 It is true that the Fitbit app is usually running in the background. There are settings you can tweak in your smartphone to make it stop entirely until you open it again by yourself. Has it opened itself lately? Hope everything is fine now.

Hi @doctor2260  and welcome to the  fitbit community.
thank you for sharing your problem
This sounds quite unusual, but if you have notifications connected to your watch, there is a button that lets you open it on your phone, and maybe you are pressing that by mistake. If it's not that it might be activity on your watch, or your watch is syncing automatically. Sometimes it's that you pressed it and it wasn't opening, or you pressed it multiple times, forgot, and then it opened. If it wasn't any of that (which it probably wasn't) contact the pros here - https://myhelp.fitbit.com/s/support?language=en_US

Nice to see yo for the first time in the community @doctor2260.

Thanks for sharing the inquiry regarding the Fitbit app.

Also, In many cases, it is due to a problem with the touch screen, either due to a blow or because water fell on it.

Let us know if you are still experiencing the issue.

Thanks @unidentifiable for your help.

FYI: Your Fitbit app is always running in the background. It is the User Interface popping up.

Since I have tge icon on my home screen, I sometimes accidentally tap it. I do agree, that there might be a touch screen issue, have you tried a shutdown of the phone?
